Well. What a good idea, in a let's-create-more-work sort of way. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the concept, a Keeper is someone who claims a part of an actor or character to keep for themselves. This way they can prove their obsession to the world and annoy everyone with really long signatures.

Through being a Keeper, you make public your favourite thing about Joaquin or one of his characters. Things to Keep can be as sensible or silly, as real or abstract as you want, from Keeper Of Joaquin's Eyes to Keeper Of Commodus' Tearful Speeches.

But, where there are cliques there are rules, and no one loves a good set of rules more than me. Don't worry, the list isn't long and it isn't demanding. The only reason there are rules is to ensure that everyone gets their fair share of whatever they want.

KEEPERS: THE RULES

1. You cannot claim something that is already Kept by someone else. However, you may claim an identical item providing it is not in the same category, for example if there is already a Keeper of Joaquin's Eyes, you may still become the Keeper of Merrill's Eyes.

2. Only three claims per person, which may all be in the same category or in different categories. This is three in total, NOT three per category. Anyone found to be making more than three claims under multiple identities will have all their claims voided.

3. The assignation of items to Keep is at the discretion of the webmistress. Any claims deemed too personal or inappropriate will be refused. With people taking possession of his eyes and scars and speech patterns, Joaquin deserves a modicum of privacy in some areas. Let's try to keep this a fun and non-perverted piece of fan madness.

4. All claims must be made on the messageboard, under the appropriate Keeper Claims thread. Only claims posted by registered users will be accepted.

5. You must have made 25 posts to the Messageboard in order to make a claim. You will know you're eligible to claim when the "Newbie" under your name changes to "JP Fan". If you were Joaq, would you want your bits Kept by people who weren't true fans...?

HOW TO CLAIM

Still here? Okay. To make a claim, you must be a registered member of the messageboard. This is to prevent people claiming 45 things under 15 different names. If you are not registered, click here to get started. After you are registered, you need to go to the Keepers section of the messageboard, then post a claim under the Requests thread. Make sure you're logged in first, though!
